Questions
Multicooker FAQ
How much does multicooker repair cost?
Typical multicooker repair runs $90-$190 plus an $80 diagnostic credited to the repair. Because many models are inexpensive, we'll always compare the fix against a new unit first.
Is it even worth repairing an Instant Pot?
Sometimes yes — a sealing ring, float valve, or power-cord fix is cheap and fast. But if the heating base or control board failed on a $70 model, replacement usually wins, and we'll say so plainly.
My multicooker won't seal or keeps leaking steam — how do I fix it?
Nine times out of ten it's a worn or misseated silicone sealing ring, or a gunked-up float valve or steam-release. Those are quick, low-cost fixes — worth checking before you replace the whole cooker.
It shows a 'burn' or lid error — is that serious?
A burn warning usually means food stuck to the base or too little liquid, not a fault. A persistent lid error can be a bad lid sensor or switch. We diagnose which it is so you're not tossing a working cooker.
