How much does range hood repair cost in NYC?
Most range hood repairs run $150-350 for parts and labor, plus a $100 diagnostic credited to the repair. Switch, light, and wiring fixes are at the low end; a full blower-motor replacement is at the top. You get the number before we start.
The fan stopped but the light still works — can you fix that?
Yes. The fan motor and the light usually run on separate circuits, so one failing while the other works is common — it points to the blower motor, a speed switch, or the control board. All three we repair on-site in most cases.
Do you fix both ducted and ductless (recirculating) hoods?
Both. Ducted hoods that vent outside and ductless hoods with charcoal filters use the same motor, switch, and light parts — we service either. We'll also tell you if a clogged filter or blocked duct is the real cause before replacing anything.
Do you clean grease filters and ducting too?
We repair the hood itself — motor, switch, light, wiring — and can swap grease or charcoal filters. Heavy in-duct grease cleaning up through the roof is a separate specialty; we'll be honest and point you to the right service if that's what you actually need.
