What we fix

Common Bosch dishwasher problems

Tell us which of these sounds like yours — the technician arrives with the right parts.

  • E15 — water in the base

The leak protection has switched on because there's water in the base pan. Turn off the water supply; the leak itself has to be found and fixed before the machine will run normally.

  • E24 — not draining

Bosch's drain error. A blocked filter, a kinked drain hose, a loose pump cover, or a garbage-disposal knockout plug never removed on a new install.

  • E25 — drain pump blocked

Debris in the drain pump or a loose or missing pump cover under the filter. Glass shards and fruit pits are classics.

  • Dishes wet at the end

Bosch dries by condensation, so rinse aid matters. Empty rinse-aid dispenser first; then the heating or drying parts.

  • Not cleaning

A clogged filter or spray arms, low water fill, or a circulation pump losing power.

  • Won't start or blinking

Door latch, child lock, a tripped supply, or the control module. Note what's blinking before you call.

E15 — the code we get asked about most

E15 means water where it shouldn't be

E15 is Bosch's leak protection: a safety switch in the base pan detected water and the machine stopped. Bosch's own instruction is to turn off the water supply and call for service. The water got there from somewhere — a loose hose, a worn seal, foam from the wrong detergent — and that leak is what we fix.

Questions

Bosch dishwasher repair FAQ

  • How much does Bosch dishwasher repair cost in NYC?

Most Bosch dishwasher repairs run $250–$340 with parts and labor. The diagnostic is $100, credited in full if you go ahead. The final price is confirmed on site before work starts.

  • What does E15 mean on a Bosch dishwasher?

E15 means the safety switch has detected water in the base of the dishwasher and the leak protection has activated. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher. The cause — a leak inside the machine, a loose hose, or overfoaming — has to be found and fixed; once the base is dry and the leak is repaired, the machine runs normally.

  • What does E24 mean on a Bosch dishwasher?

E24 is a drain error. Clean the filter at the bottom of the tub, check the drain hose isn't kinked, make sure the pump cover under the filter is seated, and on a new install check that the knockout plug in the garbage disposal was removed. If E24 returns after all of that, the drain pump or a blockage in the line needs a technician.

  • Why are my dishes still wet in my Bosch?

Bosch dishwashers dry by condensation instead of a hot coil, so rinse aid is part of the design — an empty dispenser is the most common reason for wet dishes, especially plastics. If rinse aid is full and dishes are still soaked, the heater or a drying component is worth checking.

  • Are you Bosch authorized service?

No. Sprocket is an independent repair service, not authorized by or affiliated with Bosch or BSH. If your dishwasher is under Bosch's warranty, use their service. Out of warranty, we repair Bosch dishwashers with our own 90-day warranty.

  • Do you also fix Bosch washers?

Yes — including the 24" compact Bosch washers common in NYC apartments. Book a washer repair and mention the brand.
