Common LG washer problems

OE — won't drain
LG's drain error. A clogged drain pump filter behind the small bottom-front panel, a kinked drain hose, or a pump that hums but doesn't move water.
IE — not enough water
Taps not fully open, kinked inlet hoses, clogged inlet filters — then the water inlet valve itself.
LE — motor locked
On front-loaders the motor is overloaded or the drum won't turn; on top-loaders LG calls it a rotation error. Overloading and coins come first, then the motor or its sensor.
dE — door or lid
The door or lid isn't closed or locked. Laundry caught in the gasket, a worn latch or a failed door lock.
UE — unbalanced
The load is all on one side or the machine isn't level. Persistent UE with a normal load points to suspension parts.
Leaking or smells
Torn or moldy door gasket, a loose hose, or too much non-HE detergent. Gasket replacement is a common job for us.

How much does LG washer repair cost in NYC?
Most LG washer repairs run $270–$360 with parts and labor. The diagnostic is $100, credited in full if you go ahead. The final price is confirmed on site before work starts.
What does OE mean on an LG washer?
OE means the water can't drain. On a front-loader, check the drain hose for kinks and clean the drain pump filter behind the small panel at the bottom front — put a towel and a shallow pan down first. If the pump hums but no water moves, or the filter is clean and OE comes back, it's usually the drain pump.
My LG washer shows LE. What should I do?
LE means the motor is overloaded or locked. LG recommends letting the washer rest for 30 minutes, or unplugging it for 5 minutes, then running a smaller load and checking for coins or debris. If LE keeps coming back on normal loads, the motor, its sensor or the wiring needs a technician.
Do you repair LG WashTower and washer-dryer combos?
Yes — both. They're common in NYC closets and we repair them on site, including the dryer side.

No. Sprocket is an independent repair service, not authorized by or affiliated with LG. If the washer is under LG's warranty, use LG's service. Out of warranty, we repair LG washers with our own 90-day warranty.
